This piece features a traditional mortise-and-tenon structure and a two-part detachable design consisting of the screen panel and the base. The base is carved mainly with linear motifs; its curved legs are fully connected with the standing spandrels, forming a seamless, integrated whole. The screen panel features two pandas in harmonious unity, symbolizing reunion and peace. The carving technique is exquisite: the fur is finely and softly rendered, and the expressions are dynamic and lifelike. The work as a whole is neat, well-proportioned, and harmonious, with a noble and elegant color and luster.
